Fate

Have you ever wondered what your life would be like it you made one (just one) different decision? Have you ever wondered what you will look and act like when you get really old (like 92 years old)? Will I even live until I'm 92? Will I have children? Will I still live in Live Oak? Will I still have the same "true" friends? Will I still be madly in love with Edward Cullen and David Beckham when I get older? Have I met my soulmate at some point in my life...or do soulmates even exist?

Recently these types of questions have been constantly filling my mind. I don't know if it's because I'm getting older and wiser....ok maybe just older....but I really wish I knew the answer to these questions now.

So...here is my prediction....I think I still will have "Bertha Ghetto" when I'm old, hip and hot....I'm not sure if I'm a maternal girl, so maybe children are not in my future....Hopefully I will be in the living in the mountains (or Austrailia)....I know I will still have the same "true" friends....and Edward Cullen and David Beckham will always have a place in my heart....as for soulmates...I will let fate decide that.

Love...such a strong word and with soooooo many definitions. Here are some definitions that I received from my gianormous fan base. and I know that Valentine's Day has already passed us by...but do you really need a Hallmark Holiday to talk about LOVE?

* Love is when you say nothing at all

* Love is complicated

* Love is something you either know....or don't know

* Love is a battlefield

* Love is unconditional

* Love is 1 Corinthians 13

* Love is when you feel all fuzzy inside when you see that special someone

* Love is when you are so mad at someone...but can't wait until you see them

* Love is seeing Edward sing to you (January said she was kidding...I think she was serious)

* Love is ignoring mean comments

* Love is smiling when someone just complained about how horrible you are

I thought all of those were interesting comments. Some I thought were funny (especially the Edward comment....but I would feel the same way if he sang or played the piano for me).

The question I guess is....what do I think love is?

To me....love is sacrifice. I always think of that movie the Wedding Singer...one of the ways Drew Barrymore's character knew that the person she was with loved/cared for her was if they let her sit by the window in the airplane, when they didn't and he insisted on sitting by the window...she knew what the answer was. Of course that wasn't her sole reason for dumping him....some guys are just big jerks to begin with!

Love is something that changes by situations that have happened in your past. I believe that I love differently now - compared to how I loved 10 years ago. I believe that you don't hurt someone you love...but the saying is "You hurt the ones you love the most." Why is that?

I guess the best way to sum up what I think about love......Love is too darn confusing.

Valentine's Day is fast approaching...so I thought I would ask around to see what everyone thinks love is. Stay tuned for the rest of the story....

Allow me to introduce Bertha

As my friends and family would like to say...and I have to agree with them...I have a big ghetto butt. No matter what exercise I do, everything else gets smaller and Bertha will either stay the same...or grow.

As I was getting ready for work last week...I was listening to the news, just like I do every weekday. But this time....something really caught my ear. This is an actual article from the WCTV6 News Website (Health) reported by Triston Sanders.

"1-09-09 A big bottom is more than something to smile about. It's good for your health too. The recent trend of a hefty bottom started with celebrities flaunting their pear shaped figures. Now, doctors say a bigger bottom actually protects women from diseases like type two diabetes. Researchers from Harvard Medical School found fat around a female's derriere and hips release certain hormones that help fend off diabetes and heart disease. The study appears in the journal "Cell Metabolism.""

So all of you big ghetto butt haters....Bertha is helping me fight off diabetes and heart disease. That's my story...and I'm sticking to it!

Expiration Date

I have always had this weird phobia about expiration dates . Especially with food. Heck...I won't even drink milk on the day it "expires". Yes...I get made fun of alot by my friends and family...as if they don't do anything strange to me. And before you ask...YES they do.

One day at work my runway model looking friend and I were talking about children. And she had the nerve to tell me that my eggs (not the kind you eat) would be rotten before my boyfriend decides to marry me!!!! Can you believe that?!? Her comment left my mind immediately....yeah right...I think of that comment almost every day of my life! Could it be possible that my eggs will expire before he decides to marry me? So I decided if my eggs have an expiration date...so should my relationship. I won't say exactly when the expiration date is...just in case he gets curious and reads this...but don't worry about him....I've told him a couple of times. And honey...if you are reading this...the clock is ticking!
